Woking Dance Space classes are taught by a variety of hard working, talented and energetic teachers.

Gill Barnes

Gill Barnes

As a child Gill attended the Eileen Denny School of Dancing during which time she performed at the Kingston Empire and Richmond Theatre.

She has since taken part in several stage, fashion and cabaret shows, both amateur and semi-professional. After joining Woking Dance Space she now enjoys the challenge of teaching and choreography.

Gill teaches Daytime Tap, Daytime Jazz.

Katie Brewer

Katie Brewer

Katie started dancing at her grandmother's dancing school, the Jeanne Brewer School of Dance in Woking. At 13 she went on to dance at Harmony Dance Studio (now Woking Dance Space).

After graduating from University she returned to Woking Dance Space as a pupil and now teaches the Inprovers Tap class. She also runs First Dance Studio with her sister Emma at the Mayford Centre.

Katie teaches Improvers Tap.

Gretchen Fox Kiefer

Gretchen Fox Kiefer

Dancing and teaching for over 25 years, Gretchen is a former professional dancer with Island Moving Company (USA).

She did numerous tours, performances and out reach programmes with Island Moving Company, and also performed with Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre and several Colorado ballet companies. Gretchen also choreographed for Island Moving Company, Little Theater of the Rockies and the University of Northern Colorado.

She has taught dance at the Newport Academy of Ballet, University of Northern Colorado and for the Susan Robinson School of Ballet (UK).

Gretchen teaches American Jazz, Advanced Ballet, co-directs our bi-annual show and is also a Trustee of Woking Dance Space.

Eithne Last

Eithne Last

After training in London and Southampton Eithne danced professionally on television, in musicals and solo performances.

She has taught extensively throughout southern England; working for theatre schools, colleges of Continuing and Higher Education and private studios. Eithne has been involved with Woking Dance Space since 2002.

Eithne teaches Beginners Ballet, Intermediate Ballet and Contemporary.

Claire Tabraham

Claire Tabraham

Claire is a qualified dance teacher and regular member of Woking Dance Space, where she enjoys passing on her enthusiasm and passion for dance, teaching adult tap.

Claire has danced from the age of three and has regularly performed in many shows, including performances at the Royal Albert Hall and the New Victoria Theatre. Her choreography has been performed in numerous shows and pantomimes, including venues such as the Royal Albert Hall, Docklands Arena and Birmingham Indoor Arena.

She also teaches ISTD tap and modern, is studying to complete her higher level dance teaching qualifications, and teaches adults and young people in various dance workshops and church groups.

Claire feels passionately about the value of Woking Dance Space as a community resource and is looking forward to getting more involved in the life and running of the studio in her new role as a Trustee.

Claire teaches Beginners Tap and Intermediate Tap and is also a Trustee of Woking Dance Space.
