Woking DANCE Space

About Woking Dance Space

WDS is a non-profit making organisation that provides access to dance for adults within the community, whatever their age, experience or previous training.

Woking Dance Space is unique in that classes are offered for all age ranges, from young adults to senior citizens. We run classes in many dance disciplines, hold special events and performances and provide a forum for people to meet and explore what is both a creative and beneficial interest.

It is also an excellent venue for dance examinations, show rehearsals and workshops. Visiting companies have included Northern Ballet Theatre, Mark Baldwin Dance Company, Tobias Tak and Decodex. Members of Woking Dance Space have performed in local amateur shows, the Woking Dance Umbrella Festival and also our own annual show at the Rhoda McGaw Theatre.

The studio is conveniently located in the Mayford Centre, with easy access from both Guildford and Woking. There are excellent free parking facilities and the studio is equipped with a changing room, barres, large mirrors, a music system, an upright piano and includes a small kitchen area. The floor is a specially adapted dance floor, suitable for all dance styles.

The studio also serves as a place for dance lovers to meet and arrange visits to local and London shows, Master-classes and other performances.
