Questions about Beginners:

I'm a complete beginner and...

Welcome to the wonderful world of dance!

You've found a great studio to start dancing. At Woking Dance Space we offer classes for adult dancers no matter shat their age and previous experience, and that includes the complete beginner with 'two left feet'!

What beginners courses do you offer?

We currently offer complete beginners classes in Ballet and Tap. We also offer other short courses on a one off basis when there is sufficient demand.

What about beginners Jazz, Street Jazz and Contemporary?

Jazz, Street Jazz and Contemporary classes are held at a general level. There are no beginners or advanced classes.

It does help if you have some previous dance experience, but it's not essential, just come along.

When can I start?

The beginners classes start right from the beginning with new people every January.

We then build up over the a full year, the aim being to transferring everyone over into the improvers or intermediate classes before the next year where we start from the beginning again.

We allow new people to join at the beginning of each term, but you have to understand that you are joining in the middle of an on-going course and it won't be completely for the beginning. However, we do try to make the first few classes of each term a 'refresher' for existing and new people alike so you are all up to speed as soon as possible.
